Cultivating Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at HICSE

HICSE has made instrumental developments working towards our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) policy. Coupled with outstanding engagement from employees and stakeholders, our new sources of support and information have successfully fostered an inclusive workplace.

HICSE has made significant developments in fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace. We have actively been working towards our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy by providing informative resources which ignite curious conversations and cultivate an environment that prioritises Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Working alongside and sharing ideas with wider Hitachi groups, an interview with Hitachi’s Chief Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Lorena Dellagiovanna, was particularly interesting to understand how EDI is embedded into Hitachi’s values. She discusses the importance of cultivating a curious mind when it comes to EDI. This is so that “you can learn more from others, grow as a person, and give back to society”

Here at HICSE, we have launched a Positive Impacts page on our staff Intranet which incorporates an array of support services, including EDI news, inclusive social events, a Wellness Corner signposting support, together with volunteering opportunities.

As well as this, we were delighted to release the first issue of our quarterly internal Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Matters Newsletter for staff in September. It highlights several interesting articles that coincide with the resources on the Positive Impacts Intranet page. The subsequent engagement has been amazing, we have been pleased with our success in informing employees, starting conversations, and providing relevant support.

As a company, we are excited to continue cultivating an environment where employees feel valued and respected alongside our pride for what we have already achieved.
